Four Peaks Chapter NSDAR was organized as the 27th chapter in Arizona January 12, 2002, and confirmed February 9, 2002, by the National Board of Management with 33 members. Mrs. Kathryn (Kaye) Eisenhower Morgan was the Organizing Regent, the chapter being established in Fountain Hills during the administration of Mrs. Jerry B. Hurd (Peggy) as State Regent.
The chapter name was suggested by Mrs. Myron (Nan) Sigaty for the range of mountains which forms a backdrop for the communities of Fountain Hills and Rio Verde, and are considered sacred by the Yavapai Community of Fort McDowell. They are part of the Mazatzal Mountains.
